Think no one's watching video? Guess
again! A lip dub video produced for the Clark Retirement Community in Michigan
to celebrate their 100 year anniversary has gone viral.
Produced by students at
Grand Valley State University, the video has reached the one million hits
mark and still counting. It's been
featured on Fox News, Good Morning America and other national
networks and has even been shown internationally.
The video was posted on YouTube
"Spotlight" and "What's Trending" and even was featured on Huffingtom
Post as the "one thing you can't miss today" feature. Enjoy it, it's a lot of fun!
Are you using video effectively in your business to generate
interest? A lip dub might be a little too
far to go, but the Clark Retirement Community example shows us the power of
video on the web. Real estate videos can cover many different topics that are
important to consumers. They can simply
be "home for sale videos" or feature the communities and lifestyle aspects of
your area.
Video Marketing Works! A video lets the viewer engage and is an
informal way of getting to know you and your business. More viewers are
watching video than ever before! ComScore,
a leader in measuring the digital world, released data showing that 178 million
U.S. Internet users watched online video content in June 2011 for an average of
16.8 hours per viewer. The total U.S. Internet audience engaged in more than
6.2 billion viewing sessions during the course of the month, an all-time high.
Do you have a web presence? Web
marketing is the future and video is an important part of that. Incorporating video into your website is easy
to do and gives you more bang for your buck.
