According to the Bureau of Labor
Statistics, 13 states reported unemployment decreases. For the second month
in a row, Colorado recorded unemployment rates lower than the national rate of 9.1%
Within the Rocky Mountain region,
Colorado has the third highest unemployment rate at 8.7%, with Arizona and
Idaho showing higher rates.
"With Colorado's unemployment rate back below the national rate," reports Ryan McMaken at the Colorado Division of
Housing, "Colorado may continue to be seen as a desirable location for job
seekers. This may in turn impact overall household formation in Colorado and
the demand for housing."
