With the end of the home buyer tax credit close at hand, many realtors are no doubt wondering what lies beyond. There is concern about what will happen in the market as so many took advantage of the credit. Will there be a huge drop-off? What is next?
Real estate is a cyclical process that ebbs and flows, so instead of viewing it with any fear or negativity, look at it from the vantage point of opportunity.
Get involved. Help buyers who are still out there and be creative with it. How about hosting a seminar for buyers and sellers on what they can do now that the credit has expired. Maximize your influence by getting online and offering your experience and resources.
Consumers want service and good advice, in addition to great value. It's vital to keep this in mind and not let the end of the tax credit serve as an excuse to be on the sidelines. Target distressed buyers and make it a focal point of your marketing plan to reach out to them online and offline.
