Who ever thought that the government would own your mortgage or actually be in the real estate business? Remember the sixties? They wanted less government involvement, and back then they were Liberals, the concept today is championed by the Conservatives. Well, today we actually get the government pushing their way into the homeownership industry, into our lives.
How do you argue with a government program? They now have what they call the First Look Program, which means the right of first refusal, which means when a home is foreclosed on, the government gets the right to buy it before a private company does. They just pushed themselves into the front of the line, how do you argue with that, they have the guns and prisons. And if you disagree with them, you may get to see both.
I never thought that my mortgage would be owned by our government. I was raised by those freedom yelling hippies of the sixties screaming "down with the man" and fascist pigs." Now it seems as though the tables have turned. Its the Conservatives who want less government control and its the Liberals who want the government to own and have control over everything and every part of our lives. When did that happen? When did the fascist pigs become the freedom yelling Americans? When did the government decide they needed to control our lives this much?
