Spring has sprung, meaning it's the optimum time for some weekend do-it-yourself home improvement projects.
Curb appeal is extremely important in selling a home. It's the first impression a potential buyer gets, and to have a unkempt sidewalk or walkway, caked with grime and dirt, can make an unfavorable first impression. Take control by power washing your driveways and walkways, or by even staining them to make them look even cleaner and more welcoming.
Also consider the front door. You may want to paint it a contrasting color so it pops out more and attracts visitors. Inside, updating or improving lighting fixtures can make a world of difference to a home's ambience.
In the backyard, gardens are a popular trend, so consider planting a home garden your eventual owner can cut costs by growing his or her own vegetables to feed his or her family.
