Metro Brokers 2010 Board Of Director Candidate Jesse Sehlmeyer of Vintage Homes of Denver

Cathy:  Hello I am Cathy Saltero with Metro Brokers TV.  Today in the studio we have Jesse Sehlmeyer with the Metro Brokers Platt Park office, thank you very much for coming in Jesse.

Jesse Sehlmeyer:  Thank you.

Cathy:  And he is one of our candidates for Metro Brokers 2010 board of directors, tell us a little bit, how long have you been with Metro Brokers?

Jesse:  I have been with Metro Brokers since 2003, so going into our seventh year.

Cathy:  Great.  And what features and benefits, business tools that sort of thing do you think that Metro Brokers offers?

Jesse:  I think the ability to have the Metro Brokers brand name and also the website Metro Brokers online, are two of the biggest tools that we use with our business currently.

Cathy:  What would you say are your volunteer experiences that you have in real estate or in the community?

Jesse:  Gearing up to be actively involved with Habitat for Humanity actually just filled out the paper work last couple of months and getting ready to gear up with them.  Also I have a passion for a organization called FAME Africa, I have the ability to or, honor to go to Africa a couple of years ago, and just really got excited with what this one group is doing down there as far as bringing medical services out to remote areas of Africa, so I am actually hopefully planning a trip back to Africa in the next year or two, go for a couple of weeks and do some charity work there.

Cathy:  That is awesome, why are you running for our board?

Jesse:  I just, I have been the Metro Brokers now for about seven years, and I feel at this point, our organization is fairly seasoned I think we have a lot of core knowledge of real estate technology tools and at this point I really want to give back to Metro Brokers, because they have really given so much to us since we joined seven years ago.

Cathy:  And what strengths do you think that you have as far as contributing to our board of directors?

Jesse:  I think our biggest strength is really staying up with technology and current technology, because our market is changing so rapidly, and just the ability to you know, also kind of bring that knowledge to the rest of the Metro Brokers organization, and the other thing I would really like to help and assist with is recruitment, getting other quality individuals to Metro Brokers that we work with in our industry.

Cathy:  All right, well board of directors meeting is in January 15th, and Jesse thank you very much for joining us today on Metro Brokers TV.

Jesse:  Thank you.

Metro Brokers 2010 Board Of Director Candidate Doug Lindstrom of Legacy Partners Realty

Kathy Soltero:  Welcome to Metro Brokers TV, I am Kathy Soltero.  Today in the studio we have Doug Lindstrom from our Loveland office, welcome Doug.

Doug Lindstrom:  Thank you.

Kathy Soltero:  Tell us how long have you been with Metro Brokers.

Doug Lindstrom:  I opened my office December last year 2008, so just one year now.

Kathy Soltero:  Wow and what sort of features and benefits and tools I think have you found in Metro Brokers that you really value?

Doug Lindstrom:  You know so far the best value I have seen is the CTM e-contracts and the website I get a fair amount of traffic I believe from the website, so those are the tools I utilize the most.

Kathy Soltero:  Very much so with the website especially I think.

Doug Lindstrom:  Right.

Kathy Soltero:  Describe any kind of volunteer work that you may have done in the years past whether it be in the community or with real estate?

Doug Lindstrom:  Sure.  Well recently I have, I have three kids, so they are all pretty young right now.  So I don't have a whole lot of time for a whole lot of volunteer work at the moment, but in the past I have done habitat for humanity and pretty involved with my church, real estate on some of the boards and some of the committees that our board has up in Northern Colorado.

Kathy Soltero:  Tell us why you want to be on the Metro Brokers board?

Doug Lindstrom:  Big question.  My only motivation frankly for being on the board is to get a presence up in Northern Colorado.  I think we are very underserved up there personally and I think that there is a lot of; there is no saturation up there.  So I think we can definitely tap into that market, that's very unknown right now, but there is this three of us really up in Northern Colorado actually four of us up in Northern Colorado right now, so hoping to tap into that market a little bit and grow Metro Brokers.

Kathy Soltero:  That's awesome.  Tell me what sort of strengths do you have that you could bring to our board in 2010?

Doug Lindstrom:  You know I am hoping that kind of just being persistent with what the needs are particularly in Northern Colorado would be a benefit to the whole Metro Brokers community.  I think I have some leadership skills, but I also believe that more than anything else is, I don't, I am pretty persistent I just don't let things go too easily.  So hopefully that will be a benefit to all of us.

Kathy Soltero:  All right well our election is on January 15th, our annual board of directors meeting and we wish you the best of luck, thank you so much for joining us today.

Doug Lindstrom:  Thank you Kathy.

Kathy Soltero:  Thank you for joining Metro Brokers TV.

Ryan Coleman Talks about Impressions of First Annual Metro Brokers Triathlon

Metro Brokers TV: This is Mark Eibner with Metro Brokers TV and we are here at the first annual Metro Broker Triathlon sponsoring Special Olympics and I am here with Ryan Coleman.  Ryan, what do you think of the event?

Ryan Coleman:  It was excellent Mark.  I can't believe the turnout.  I am more than impressed.

Interviewer:  Yeah, I guess you are a newcomer here.  I kind of picked you out the crowd because you just came over from Keller Williams.

Ryan Coleman:  Correct.  I mean an event like this, I mean I was with Keller for five years and I have never seen anything like this.

Interviewer:  Well, Metro Brokers does a lot of... you know we work with Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics is a big group, Big Brothers, Big Sisters things like that, but this thing turned out pretty successful.

Ryan Coleman:  Most definitely.  I am... it is just amazing.  I am glad everybody came out and I was part of it.

Interviewer:  Yeah, so next year I think it seems that you are young, you are under the 35, right?

Ryan Coleman:  Most of us under the 35, we were just talking about which leg I am going to do.  I don't know about all three, so....

Interviewer:  Well.  Hey!  Good to see you here Ryan.  I appreciate you being on board with Metro Brokers.

Ryan Coleman:  Most definitely, thank you.

Mary Barela Cordova of Metro Brokers BC Realty at Habitat for Humanity Arvada Project

Metro Brokers TV:  Welcome to Metro Brokers TV.  We are up here at the Habitat for Humanity project in Arvada, Colorado and today I am with Mary and welcome Mary.

Mary Barela Cordova:  Hi.  I am Mary Barela Cordova.  How are you Mark?

Metro Brokers TV:  I am doing great.  Which office do you work out of?

Mary Barela Cordova:  I am at the Lakewood Southwest office at Hampton and Wadsworth.

Metro Brokers TV:  Great.  Is that your company there?  You are an independent?

Mary Barela Cordova:  I am an independent.  It's Metro Brokers BC Realty LLC.

Metro Brokers TV:  So do you have any associates that work underneath you?

Mary Barela Cordova:  Absolutely.  I am the Managing Broker.  My husband Mike Cordova works with me also and we have four associates that are in our company.

Metro Brokers TV:  So, Mary what projects were you involved in in this house here today?

Mary Barela Cordova:  I was in the interior doing some drilling.  We were setting up brackets for sheetrock and then I was also doing some hammering some brackets.

Metro Brokers TV:  So, have you done this before with Habitat or is this your first time?

Mary Barela Cordova:  This is my first time.  It's something I have always wanted to do and this is a big year for me.  I am turning 50 and I am doing all those things I said I was going to do and I never did.  So, here we go.  I am marking it off my list.

Metro Brokers TV:  So, have you learned any skills or things today that can help you in your role stay current[Phonetic], what do you think?

Mary Barela Cordova:  You know it has been really exciting because these people are great that we are working with.  They are very patient.  We don't know what we are doing.  They are showing us.  They are telling us what to do and then they are explaining why inside the house and these are... when we do an inspection on a home, I know a lot about some general things, but absolutely it's been very interesting.

Metro Brokers TV:  Yeah, so maybe we should get some more of our membership to volunteer on these projects, eh?

Mary Barela Cordova:  I think we should.  I am on the board of Metro Brokers and here I am doing it.  So, we need some more of the other companies and other associates out here swinging a hammer.

Metro Brokers TV:  Well, great Mary.  We appreciate you being out here today.  Thanks.

Mary Barela Cordova:  You are welcome and thank you.
