MetroBrokersTV: I am Amy Chase with Metro Brokers TV and I am here today with Mike Bradley broker/owner and also the chairman of the Metro Brokers technology committee. Welcome Mike.

Mike Bradley: Thank you very much.

MetroBrokersTV: So, tell me a little bit, I know that we have just added another MLS system to the website MetroBrokersOnline.com, which brings us to eight MLS'. Is that correct?

Mike Bradley: Yes, we launched a site in March with seven IDX MLS' and have just added the Aspen, Glenwood Springs MLS. So, that's eight MLS systems throughout the state and approaching nearly 100,000 listings on our website now.

MetroBrokersTV: Tell me a little bit about what that means for us as Metro Broker agents and what feedback are you receiving?

Mike Bradley: The feedback so far has been very positive. Aspen, Colorado is such a high vacation home destination. It's hopefully going to increase traffic from out of state as well as our presence online and our presence and market share in Colorado. So, metrobrokersonline.com is growing just like we planned and it definitely comes up every where.

MetroBrokersTV: Great. Tell us a little bit about your office, where you are located, how many people are working underneath you and how things are going in Rifle, Colorado?  <watch video>

MetroBrokersTV: Hi. I am Amy Chase. Thanks for joining us today at Metro Brokers TV. We are here today with Troy Wilcox, our new technology specialist. Troy, welcome.

Troy Wilcox: Thank you. Good to be here.

MetroBrokersTV: Thanks. So, let's talk a little bit about what you did prior to joining our team at Metro Brokers. Tell me about your background.

Troy Wilcox: I actually moved out here about 13 years ago. Lived up in Summit County for a long time, 11 years and up there I started selling skis, living the skiers life.

MetroBrokersTV: Sure.

Troy Wilcox: You know how that is.

MetroBrokersTV: Sure.

Troy Wilcox: And moved into a role for Christy Sports, running their e-commerce site, which I did for about six years and it is kind of my where my technology background developed from and that came to an end and I moved down to Denver and just doing jobs here and there in the technology field, but really decided I need to get some schooling under my belt and went back and got some certifications and did some classes and then just recently took this job with Metro Brokers.

MetroBrokersTV: Tell us a little bit about what was intriguing or exciting to you about joining Metro Brokers.

Troy Wilcox: Well, for starters their website, metrobrokersonline.com, is really cutting edge. It is very technology driven and I wanted to be part of that as well as to develop it and grow with it and see what I could bring to it.

MetroBrokersTV: So, you mentioned some of the certifications that you had gone to school for. For somebody like me who is fairly ignorant when it comes to technology, I am an IT layperson, tell us about the certifications and then tell us what they mean and what kind of schooling went into them.

Troy Wilcox: Well, I just finished up an MCSE program, which is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, which basically focuses on networking and infrastructure for computer systems; just passed my A+ certification, which is a certification for doing IT Desktop support computer repair, things like that and I just have to finish the rest of the test to get my MCSE, which I will be doing over the course of the next few months.

MetroBrokersTV: And tell me a little bit about what are some of the benefits you will bring to our membership here at Metro Brokers.

Troy Wilcox: Well, I think with my personality and with my background, I can help to grow the membership and bring some more people on board as well as maybe improve upon some of the existing features that they have, make the site more user friendly, more features for the agents themselves.

Troy Wilcox: Yeah, absolutely. Can't forget them.

This month's August 13th New Agent Orientation included over 60% of the of the new members transferring from Re/Max into the Metro Brokers system. According to Membership director Barb Figal, many of the longtime former Re/max agents feel abandoned by their former brand. The success of the company at the expense of the brokers seems to be the theme. Says Figal, the increasing costs and franchise fees at Re/Max are not what a lot of these true 100% brokers signed up for. <watch video>
