Metro Brokers 2010 Board Of Director Candidate Jesse Sehlmeyer of Vintage Homes of Denver

Cathy:  Hello I am Cathy Saltero with Metro Brokers TV.  Today in the studio we have Jesse Sehlmeyer with the Metro Brokers Platt Park office, thank you very much for coming in Jesse.

Jesse Sehlmeyer:  Thank you.

Cathy:  And he is one of our candidates for Metro Brokers 2010 board of directors, tell us a little bit, how long have you been with Metro Brokers?

Jesse:  I have been with Metro Brokers since 2003, so going into our seventh year.

Cathy:  Great.  And what features and benefits, business tools that sort of thing do you think that Metro Brokers offers?

Jesse:  I think the ability to have the Metro Brokers brand name and also the website Metro Brokers online, are two of the biggest tools that we use with our business currently.

Cathy:  What would you say are your volunteer experiences that you have in real estate or in the community?

Jesse:  Gearing up to be actively involved with Habitat for Humanity actually just filled out the paper work last couple of months and getting ready to gear up with them.  Also I have a passion for a organization called FAME Africa, I have the ability to or, honor to go to Africa a couple of years ago, and just really got excited with what this one group is doing down there as far as bringing medical services out to remote areas of Africa, so I am actually hopefully planning a trip back to Africa in the next year or two, go for a couple of weeks and do some charity work there.

Cathy:  That is awesome, why are you running for our board?

Jesse:  I just, I have been the Metro Brokers now for about seven years, and I feel at this point, our organization is fairly seasoned I think we have a lot of core knowledge of real estate technology tools and at this point I really want to give back to Metro Brokers, because they have really given so much to us since we joined seven years ago.

Cathy:  And what strengths do you think that you have as far as contributing to our board of directors?

Jesse:  I think our biggest strength is really staying up with technology and current technology, because our market is changing so rapidly, and just the ability to you know, also kind of bring that knowledge to the rest of the Metro Brokers organization, and the other thing I would really like to help and assist with is recruitment, getting other quality individuals to Metro Brokers that we work with in our industry.

Cathy:  All right, well board of directors meeting is in January 15th, and Jesse thank you very much for joining us today on Metro Brokers TV.

Jesse:  Thank you.

Metro Brokers 2010 Board Of Director Candidate Thomas Wood of Thomas Wood and Associates

Cathy Saltero:  Welcome to Metro Brokers TV.  I am Cathy Saltero, today in the studio we have with us Tom Wood.  He is with our Arapahoe and Quebec office, Tom thank you very much for coming in today.

Tom Wood:  Thank you for having me.

Cathy Saltero:  Well, you are also one of our candidates for the board of directors for 2010 Metro Brokers, and thank you very much for doing that, how long have you been with Metro Brokers?

Tom Wood:  15 years.

Cathy Saltero:  15 years that is quite some time, seen a lot.

Tom Wood:  Yes.

Cathy Saltero:  Okay.  Tell me what features or benefits, business tools do you value most about Metro Brokers?

Tom Wood:  Well, I think the Metro Brokers website is really good and I do like the CTM econtracts you know, I think that is a good feature, and the technical part I am not too techie, one of the disadvantages of being old is, I learned things like the slide rule when I was in school, not the computer.

Cathy Saltero:  That is okay sometimes it takes a little bit longer to get things done, but then you have got it all in front of you, you don't have to worry about a computer crashing or something right.

Tom Wood:  Correct.

Cathy Saltero:  All right, well describe some volunteer experience that you can bring to Metro Brokers board of directors and in real estate perhaps that you have done over the years?

Tom Wood:  Well, I have been active with a number of home owner associations, each neighborhood I have lived in over the years.  I participated in the home owners association; I was one of the original members in Lone Tree when it first started, and then couple of years later I was asked to run for the Park Meadows Metropolitan District as a commissioner or director I guess is the correct word, and I did that on two elections, so that was eight years I did that, and lately I haven't done a whole lot, and I haven't done too much with Metro Brokers really, and so I felt at this point it would be time for me to do something to help whatever I can.

Cathy Saltero:  All right that is great.  So, that is probably one of the reasons you say you are running for the board of directors?

Tom Wood:  It's exactly right, you know, it's one of those things whatever it takes, and I don't have any agenda, I am going to do what they say they need to have done, and I know from past experience that some of the things on the board that you do isn't, because it's necessarily what you want to do, but it's because of something you have to do, and right now I think I have to participate with the board.

Cathy Saltero:  Tell me about what are some of the strengths that you have, that you can bring, you can contribute to our board of directors in 2010?

Tom Wood:  Well, first willingness to work.  I have been in the real estate business since September of 66, so I am in my 44th year doing this, and I have been relatively successful over the years, and I have been manager in the number of offices, and quite frankly just really the experience.

Cathy Saltero:  All right well our elections are in January, our board annual board of directors meeting, and we will wish you the best of luck.

Tom Wood:  Well thank you very much, and I will be there, and I will put on a presentation for a couple of minutes.

Cathy Saltero:  Okay, well thank you very much.

Tom Wood:  Thank you.

Metro Brokers 2010 Board Of Director Candidate Brad Evans of Denver Core Real Estate

Kathy Soltero:  Welcome to Metro Brokers TV, I am Kathy Soltero.  Today in the studio we have Brad Evans with our Denver Core office, welcome Brad.

Brad Evans:  Hi how are you today?

Kathy Soltero:  Good we are doing great, hey and tell us how long you have been with Metro Brokers?

Brad Evans:  We opened our office last January, so just a year, this year.

Kathy Soltero:  Tell me what sort of things in the past year do you value most about the Metro Brokers community?

Brad Evans:  I think for us Metro Brokers is really kind of, its been a bigger brand, so several agents can be bigger and plug into a network of other agents for experience and help and you know when I have questions I can call another I know I have got a network of agents behind me that I can talk to and then that just helped us out in the marketplace.

Kathy Soltero:  What about some of the business tools and stuff that Metro Brokers offers?

Brad Evans:  You know when we are looking for an agency you know the web stuff that wasn't, we were just really looking for that kind of association with other realtors and that's really, so the tools I don't use CTM contracts it's a great tool for other agents its just not something we do.

Kathy Soltero:  Describe any kind of volunteer services or volunteer experiences that you may have had in real estate or in the community over the past years?

Brad Evans:  I have lot of volunteer stuff on the Denver office for cultural players creative Denver committee, so that's kind of a city wide initiative to help promote creative the creative community, so there is a big interest in real state in that part of our studios for artists and designers around the city.  I am also on the living streets task force for the Mayor's office.  So they are trying to get the city streets to be more user friendly for people and cars and bikes altogether, that's another one and then in my past I was on the ALC board for at Keller Williams, so four years on ALC, so I have kind of leadership volunteer work as well.

Kathy Soltero:  Awesome.  Now I should have mentioned at the beginning you are a candidate for 2010 Metro Brokers Board of Directors.

Brad Evans:  Correct.

Kathy Soltero:  Tell us why you want to be on the board?

Brad Evans:  Well I told you that Market twisted my arm and they are doing it, but no I think you know Metro Brokers is such a great company you know as a group of realtors and I think I can you know bring excitement and interest and you know leadership skills into that board and help hold the rope.

Kathy Soltero:  So tell me what sort of strengths are, that you feel that you have that you bring to our board in 2010?

Brad Evans:  I think just my motivation to serve others is probably my biggest skill that I can bring to the people and that's how can I help serve all the agents in the whole network in Metro Brokers.

Kathy Soltero:  and all your experience in Downtown Denver again?

Brad Evans:  Exactly and be a resource for other agents there.

Kathy Soltero:  All right.  Well Brad thank you very much for joining us today.

Brad Evans:  Thanks.

Kathy Soltero:  Our election is in January, January 15th 2010, our annual board meeting and we wish you the best of luck.

Brad Evans:  Great thanks.

Kathy Soltero:  Thank you so much for watching Metro Brokers TV.

Metro Brokers 2010 Board Of Director Candidate Doug Lindstrom of Legacy Partners Realty

Kathy Soltero:  Welcome to Metro Brokers TV, I am Kathy Soltero.  Today in the studio we have Doug Lindstrom from our Loveland office, welcome Doug.

Doug Lindstrom:  Thank you.

Kathy Soltero:  Tell us how long have you been with Metro Brokers.

Doug Lindstrom:  I opened my office December last year 2008, so just one year now.

Kathy Soltero:  Wow and what sort of features and benefits and tools I think have you found in Metro Brokers that you really value?

Doug Lindstrom:  You know so far the best value I have seen is the CTM e-contracts and the website I get a fair amount of traffic I believe from the website, so those are the tools I utilize the most.

Kathy Soltero:  Very much so with the website especially I think.

Doug Lindstrom:  Right.

Kathy Soltero:  Describe any kind of volunteer work that you may have done in the years past whether it be in the community or with real estate?

Doug Lindstrom:  Sure.  Well recently I have, I have three kids, so they are all pretty young right now.  So I don't have a whole lot of time for a whole lot of volunteer work at the moment, but in the past I have done habitat for humanity and pretty involved with my church, real estate on some of the boards and some of the committees that our board has up in Northern Colorado.

Kathy Soltero:  Tell us why you want to be on the Metro Brokers board?

Doug Lindstrom:  Big question.  My only motivation frankly for being on the board is to get a presence up in Northern Colorado.  I think we are very underserved up there personally and I think that there is a lot of; there is no saturation up there.  So I think we can definitely tap into that market, that's very unknown right now, but there is this three of us really up in Northern Colorado actually four of us up in Northern Colorado right now, so hoping to tap into that market a little bit and grow Metro Brokers.

Kathy Soltero:  That's awesome.  Tell me what sort of strengths do you have that you could bring to our board in 2010?

Doug Lindstrom:  You know I am hoping that kind of just being persistent with what the needs are particularly in Northern Colorado would be a benefit to the whole Metro Brokers community.  I think I have some leadership skills, but I also believe that more than anything else is, I don't, I am pretty persistent I just don't let things go too easily.  So hopefully that will be a benefit to all of us.

Kathy Soltero:  All right well our election is on January 15th, our annual board of directors meeting and we wish you the best of luck, thank you so much for joining us today.

Doug Lindstrom:  Thank you Kathy.

Kathy Soltero:  Thank you for joining Metro Brokers TV.
