Rhonda Giles shares her journey into Metro Brokers

Interviewer:  You are watching another great episode here on metrobrokersTV.com and I am joined today in the studio with Rhonda Giles.  Rhonda, thank you for coming down and joining us.

Rhonda Giles:  Scott, thank you very much for having me.

Interviewer:  Tell us your story.  How did you get to become a Metro Broker?  Why did you choose Metro Brokers?

Rhonda Giles:  Well Scott, I have been in real estate for 34 years now in the Northern Colorado area, the entire time in Greeley and I have been with the big companies and I have been with small companies and the more I have got more familiar with Metro Brokers and their concepts and the independence and the independent companies working together did sound like a wonderful idea and that's what I really, really like doing is being independent, but yet working with other companies when we need to.

Interviewer:  Now, did you... what company were you with before Metro Brokers or were you... this is a small independent company?

Rhonda Giles:  I have been, in Greeley, I have been with both, smaller companies and the larger companies.  The last office I was with was New Horizons before I went to Metro Brokers.

Interviewer:  And then you decided to come around in[Phonetic] full force and with Metro Brokers and decided to open up an office in Greeley, correct?

Rhonda Giles:  Yes, that is correct.  Back in the early '90s, I got very involved at state level with the CRS Chapter, certified residential specialist, and as I was going through the different chairs and working throughout the state with CRS, I got to know a lot more Metro Broker people and they all impressed me and they all enjoyed so much that they talked to me about it many times about why I should join Metro Brokers and the details of opening Metro Brokers and bringing it into a town like Greeley and so we decided that's exactly what we wanted to do and we started a Metro Broker office in Greeley?

Interviewer:  And where is that office in Greeley?

Rhonda Giles:  We are located at 3835 West 10th Street in Greeley.  It is right next door to the brand new post office on West 10th Street or Highway 34, so a very good location and lot of exposure.

Interviewer:  And how is it going for you with Metro Brokers?  So, you haven't left, so you must be enjoying it.

Rhonda Giles:  Love it.  We opened our office in 1996.  There were just three of us when we first opened up.

Interviewer:  And how many brokers do you have in your office now?

Rhonda Giles:  Scott, right now we have approximately 10 brokers and we are growing.

Interviewer:  So, you definitely out there recruiting.

Rhonda Giles:  Recruiting and enjoying every minute of it.

Interviewer:  And let's talk about more of what you are doing up in Greeley.  You are trying to get the name out there.  Is there any special things you are doing to help out, to grow Metro Brokers up in Greeley?

Rhonda Giles:  Since we are one of the original offices in Northern Colorado, we are helping try opening offices in Loveland and in Fort Collins and promoting the ideas of independent companies working together.

Interviewer:  So, you definitely enjoy being your own boss.

Rhonda Giles:  Very much so.

Interviewer:  Any last thing that people should know about why they should be a Metro Broker?

Rhonda Giles:  Very much so ; it's we have got fantastic technology, the website, like the metrobrokerstv, ads, we supply... sponsor The Rockies[Phonetic], we just have a lot of publicity, a lot of coverage, a lot of exposure and we work well together as independent brokers working together.

Interviewer:  So, basically to sum it up, best name, best price in the real estate business today correct?

Rhonda Giles:  Definitely.

Interviewer:  All right.  From Rhonda's mouth to our own ears, it's the best name, best price in real estate.  For more great interviews, go to metrobrokerstv.com.

Greeley Metro Brokers Tom Royer - independent, knowledgeable and trusting professional

Interviewer:  Hi.  I am Scott Shields with Metro Brokers TV and I am joined here in the studio today with Tom Royer.  Tom, thanks for coming down.

Thomas Royer:  Thank you for having me.

Interviewer:  Now, Tom, tell us about yourself.  You are up in the Northern Greeley Metro Brokers office in Northern Colorado.

Thomas Royer:  Right. Professional

Interviewer:  But how did you get started in real estate?  You weren't originally with Metro Brokers?

Thomas Royer:  I originally started with Century 21 and spent nine years there, part of it was an owner and over time, I realized some of the people that had left Century 21 went to Metro Brokers and there was a reason for that and most of those people are very independent, you know, knowledgeable, trusting people and I felt that I can serve my clients better by doing that exact same thing at Metro Brokers.  It's not as possible to do it in a corporate environment, rules and regs[Phonetic] and I would rather do the job myself and make sure everyone is taken care of the right way.

Interviewer:  And how do you like it so far?

Thomas Royer:  Love it.

Interviewer:  And how long have you been with Metro Brokers?

Thomas Royer:  Oh, four years now.

Interviewer:  Okay.

Thomas Royer:  Yeah.

Interviewer:  So, you are loving it and you are finding that everyone is an experienced professional at Metro Brokers.

Thomas Royer:  They are fun to work with.

Interviewer:  They are fun to work with.

Thomas Royer:  Excellent to work with it.

Interviewer:  And your company name with Metro Broker?

Thomas Royer:  I Deal Real Estate Services.

Interviewer:  Okay.  Do you have a local expertise or area up in Greeley?  Do you do you know relo's[Phonetic], foreclosures or bits of everything?

Thomas Royer:  Really bits of everything.  One thing about the group that we work with is everyone is experienced in some shape or form in something and if I don't have that expertise, I can turn to one of my broker friends and ask for help, but mainly residential and very little commercial.

Interviewer:  But you do it though.

Thomas Royer:  Well, we could do it, yes.

Interviewer:  So, from Tom's mouth to your ear, if you need help, no matter what your real estate needs are, make sure you go to the Greeley office with Metro Brokers and they can help you up there.  Tom, thanks for coming today.  We appreciate your time.

Thomas Royer:  Thank you Scott.

Interviewer:  For more great interviews, point your browser to metrobrokerstv.com.

Metro Brokers brand name, support and flexibilty helps Justin Juarez as a new Office Owner

Metro Brokers TV:  Hi.  I am Amy Chase.  Welcome to Metro Brokers TV.  I am here today with Justin Juarez, Justin, great office.

Justin Juarez:  Thank you so much Amy.

Metro Brokers TV:  Tell me a little bit about it.  Where are you located and how long have you been here?

Justin Juarez:  Well, we are a new office located in the East Highland area.  We are just west of the Diamond Hill Business Center.  We have been here since February of 2009 and we are very excited about our location and this energy we are creating here.

Metro Brokers TV:  Terrific.  Justin, tell me a little bit about your background.  How long have you been in real estate and are you specializing in any one particular area?

Justin Juarez:  I have been in real estate for about nine years now.  So, during that time I have seen lots of different markets.  Originally when I got in, I started specializing in first time home buyers, then I started working with my sphere in my second and third homes and as the times changed, so did my business and now I am pretty much focusing with investors and we are adapting to today's real estate market.

Metro Brokers TV:  Terrific and as we mentioned, this is a new space for you, a little bit different than what you are used to working in.  Tell me why you came to a space like this, what was attractive about it for you?

Justin Juarez:  Well, you know, Amy, I worked in different offices, lots of cubes, bullpens, the whole nine, and when we opened this office, we wanted to kind of create something that was going to be representative of today's agents.  Most agents are very mobile and it gives them the freedom to kind of create their own business model, but still gives them the professional atmosphere if they need to meet with a client or you know have the resources and tools to be successful in real estate.

Metro Brokers TV:  And how are you attracting new agents to this space with this changing business model, you know, off site agents, how is that working out for you and what are you doing to attract new agents?

Justin Juarez:  You know, we have had great success.  My biggest thing is that I am using Internet marketing, CraigsList, e-flyer marketing, and then also just word of mouth; as with anything, the best way to get it to the masses is through the masses.  So, my agents have been great and other associates out of my office have been spreading the word for us as well.

Metro Brokers TV:  Terrific and tell me two reasons why have you stayed with Metro Brokers, what works for you and what do you like about Metro Brokers?

Justin Juarez:  You know that's a great question Amy and to be honest with you, I got about three on the top of my mind; #1, flexibility.  Metro Brokers allows me to create my business model that works effectively for me and allows me to operate with a big name brand recognition and also the corporate support is unmatched.

Metro Brokers TV:  Terrific.  Well, Justin, thanks so much for taking the time to work with us today and good luck.

Justin Juarez:  Thank you very much Amy, have a great day.

Metro Brokers TV:  Yeah, you too, thanks

Doug DeWitt-Metro Brokers top brand recognition and power franchise platform

Metro Brokers TV: Coming to you live at the floor of the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. This is an episode of Metro Brokers TV. Joining me right now is Doug DeWitt with Metro Brokers. Doug, thanks for coming down and talking with us today.

Doug DeWitt: You are very welcome.

Metro Brokers TV: How did you get started with Metro Brokers?

Doug DeWitt: You know I got started with Metro Brokers, honestly, from online as the first time I actually came in contact and then I found an office and the office that I found was here locally in Colorado Springs. Went and actually talked to the managing agent and really introduced me to the Metro Brokers.

Metro Brokers TV: In which office are you with and where is it located?

Doug DeWitt: I am located at the Metro Brokers Academy Broker's Office. It's at 6189 Lehman Drive in Colorado Springs, Colorado and Tom Brunk is the office owner.

Metro Brokers TV: So, just going in... found us first online, going in, you liked the experience, so, what has Metro Brokers done for you so far to help you with your real estate career?

Doug DeWitt: Where I came from before, I came from Keller Williams and so the switch from Keller Williams to Metro Brokers, basically, it allowed me to open up my own office and so, my options out there were to obviously open up my own office under my own name or associate myself with Metro Brokers, which gives me the reputation that it has had since 1976 and the opportunity to kind of do my own thing and that's really where it has helped me in getting me started. So, it has given me a franchise platform instead of just going out on my own cold turkey, I have actually been able to have some structure and some help through Metro Brokers.

Metro Brokers TV: So, it is allowing you to do business your way, but at the same time still have a powerful brand recognition behind you to give you that extra boost and how is the real estate industry in Colorado Springs right now?

Doug DeWitt: Real estate in Colorado Springs is like most, but what we are finding is the opportunity to do a lot of more short sales. So, we are getting a lot of listings, which gives us more exposure. We are a little bit lucky down at Colorado Springs right now because we have the military at Fort Carson. We have an influx of Fort Carson folks coming in. So, that gives us a lot of buyers and a lot of buyer opportunities.

Metro Brokers TV: Well, that's great. I am glad that your success story with Metro Brokers has been a positive one. We are glad to have you. For more information about other success stories of Metro Broker agents, go to metrobrokerstv.com.

Bob Bielenberg loves the flexibility and freedom of Metro Brokers

MetroBrokersTV: Coming to you live from the CAR 2008 state convention. I am Scott Shields, Metro Brokers and I am joined here today with Bob Bielenberg. Bob, thanks for joining us.

Bob Bielenberg: Thank you. It's nice to be here.

MetroBrokersTV: As a past president of Metro Brokers and a proud Metro Broker member, tell us your story with Metro Brokers. Why is, why were you with Metro Brokers or joined Metro Brokers?

Bob Bielenberg: Well, I was working with [Inaudible] and I got a phone call from a friend of mine who was already a Metro Broker and he said, "We have got an opening, come on over and sit down and we'll talk about whether it makes sense for you" and it sounded like I might save a little money and doing the same volume the next year that I had done the year before, I took home next... I saved an extra $14,000, which was big money in those days when the average home was selling for about $130,000.

MetroBrokersTV: Well, I think right now I would say $14,000 is huge given the current market. Where do you see Metro Brokers playing with the current real estate industry in the current economic situation that we are dealing with?

Bob Bielenberg: Well, I think it's a reasonable alternative. I think it is a place where somebody can do their own thing. They can choose how they want to work the market, where they want to spend their energies, where they want to direct their expenditures and they can target the market anyway they want to without having to fit into someone else's corporate structure. I like the freedom that Metro Brokers gives you.

MetroBrokersTV: So, right now it is the best name, best price out there for anyone in real estate industry. Would you agree to that?

Bob Bielenberg: I like it.

MetroBrokersTV: You like it. He likes it. I like it. That's another great episode of Metro Brokers TV.
