MetroBrokersTV: I am Scott Shields with metrobrokerstv.com and I am coming to you today live from the Broadmoor down at the Colorado Springs and I am joined here with Pete Doty. Pete, thank you for coming down and talking with us.
Pete Doty: You bet, thanks Scott.
MetroBrokersTV: Pete, tell us about yourself. I know you are a Metro Broker, but you are more involved with Metro Brokers, correct?
Pete Doty: Yeah. I have in the real estate industry for 23 years; 19-20 of that as a Metro Brokers.
MetroBrokersTV: That's great and you are also an office owner, correct?
Pete Doty: Yes, that's true. I have an office in Highlands Ranch Towne Center.
MetroBrokersTV: All right. Great. Pete, so you have that experience in the real estate, where do you see, right now, you know the real estate industry shifted to deal with the current economy, where do you see the real estate industry heading and where do you see Metro Brokers being a part of that?
Pete Doty: Well, it is all about the economics and it is all about how much does it cost me to sell a house, list a house, office fees, desk fees, all that stuff, and I will tell you, 20 years ago when we joined, 100% concept was pretty new in the business and this is it. You know, you can't do any better than this. So, it's, you are controlling it by the office you affiliate with and how much they charge you; that's $80 bucks a month to be a Metro Brokers. I think it's awesome.
MetroBrokersTV: That true, 100% concept is what Metro Brokers is all about and that's what is going to carry Metro Brokers throughout the rest of the year. Is that correct?
Pete Doty: Yeah. It always has been that. I mean when it first started, it was brokers only. Now, we can have associates in our companies and we have brokers in our offices and typically, you have six brokers and then five, well, three or six brokers and associates in an office and it can be a synergy thing, it can be a group thing, or it can just be individuals. Each broker sets their or each office owner sets their own atmosphere in their offices.
MetroBrokersTV: So, now, how do you want to run your own business? Metro Brokers has the options for everyone.
Pete Doty: Yeah, there is some high end corporate style real estate companies that are Metro Broker offices and then there are at home broker programs lots of different offices offer. Yeah, it's great.
