A new website has launched to match
buyers seeking a specific property with sellers. "Agents and brokers can post
sellers' off-market properties and buyers' property desires, such as bedroom
and bathroom configuration, city, and square footage, to the portal while
keeping the names of both private. They can then search for matches in the
portal database for both." reports Inman News.
The Producers Forum, which launched
in Palo Alto in 2010, is for real estate professionals only and has about 500
members in the San Fransisco Bay area. The listings are
off-market listings that are available but not "officially" listed in the MLS.
The Producers Forum has no
affiliation with any real estate company and does not allow any public web
access in order to provide confidentiality for the homeowners.
The website says that listings
include withdrawn properties, upcoming properties not yet listed in the MLS,
listed properties that are not on the MLS, discrete sellers who desire
investment buyers, sellers with privacy concerns or properties that may need
work before they go on MLS.
"Agents can also search the portal
for listings and send messages to community members. The national service has
launched first in the greater San Francisco Bay Area." said Inman News, and
that they plan to "expand market by market across the country."
