Investors are rapidly moving into the real
estate market as the availability of rental properties hits an all-time low.
The vacancy rate for metro Denver area
apartments
dropped to the lowest level in more than 10 years, according to an article by The Denver Business Journal. And
experts expect the vacancy rate to keep dropping since new construction is down
as well.
It's predicted that investors are
going to be entering the market in droves buying short sales and bank owned properties
and turning them into rental properties.
This new trend should help the economy as the huge inventory of foreclosed
homes and bank owned properties begins to be absorbed.
"A tremendous amount of property is selling
for cash." stated Alex Charfen on Fox News. Charfen is a real estate expert from the Charfen
Institute that specializes in distressed properties. He trains agents how to
handle distressed properties.
Now is a great
time to invest! Smart investors are looking for ways to make
money in today's market. Savvy agents
are learning what it takes to work with investors who will become repeat
clients.
New certification,
the Certified Investor Agent SpecialistTM
(CIAS) has been developed to educate real estate agents on the strategies and
tools to work with real estate investors.
- According to
the CIAS website, the average investor purchases a
property every 2 years, whereas, the average homeowner buys a
house every 7 years. "If
you are not currently working with investors, you are turning away 1/3 of
the market and an estimated $18 billion in commissions!" states CIAS.
CIAS offers certification classes throughout the United States to help you generate a steady
flow of predictable income by working with investor clients.
