Try Asking for
one! In a great post on Inman News, Teresa Boardman
offers a simple solution to the tough question of "How to Get New Clients".
Boardman reminds us that if you really
want something, don't be afraid to ask for it!
David Fletcher, a Florida real estate Broker says
that the best way to get new clients is to get
up from your desk and network! Wherever you are can be a great place to ask
for a lead. A lunch outing can be an
opportunity for prospecting for new clients, ask your lunch partners and even
the server if they know of someone looking to buy or sell.
Boardman decided to use the lull of
Black Friday to market for new clients. She
posted a short blog in the morning stating she would wait by her phone for
anyone interested in seeing properties and not standing in ridiculously long shopping
lines.
"The post was short and simple, with no keyword stuffing or
thought about search engine optimization." writes Boardman, "My phone rang, and
the end result was a commission check and an opportunity to earn another." She got two new clients that day.
Always be on the lookout for prospecting opportunities,
make sure everyone you meet knows that you are in real estate and most
important of all, to get new clients... make sure you ASK for their business!
