The new phone books here, the new phone books here, do you remember the effect new technology has on some of us? Many people tend to scoff at new technology saying, "I dont like technology, I like things old fashioned." They say this as they load paper into the fax machine or use their calculator, interesting when you think about it. Maybe they just like old technology, because the calculator and fax machine was a very big deal when they came out. Do you remember, "we can now send a single document across the country in less than twenty minutes.

It actually took about eighteen minutes to send a single page across the country, and everyone in the office stood around the fax machine in amazement. "Wow, what will they think of next," was the reaction from everyone. Well, apparently they thought of a lot. The iPhone, iPad, e-mail, texting, video phones, teleportation, (just wanted to see if you were paying attention), our technology is on crack these days. We are in the twenty first century, and it shows. The days of waiting for a web page to load is a thing of the past, well, maybe thats a little ahead of myself, but you get the point.

Peoples attitude towards technology is a funny thing. I think people just need some time to get used to the idea that you can hold video, e-mail, music, books, and an easy form of communication in the palm of our hands may be too much for some people, I think they will catch up though. We all think of the calculator and fax machine as a staple in our lives, just remember the days when those were new to us. What will we think of things like the iPad in a few years from now?

It looks like Apple is setting out to fix the major problem everyone has been complaining about with the iPhone 4. The reception is bad and calls are dropped, a lot! The main problem is that the bars on phone that shows your signal strength inaccurately, since the first release of the first iPhone it's been broken. The bars show that a callers signal strength is stronger than it really is.

Apples answer to critics claim that it was extra software that made it seem like people had stronger single strength than they really had, was that it was simply a mistake and that a fix is on the way soon. The simple mistake has caused quite a stir in the media and tech circles. The release of the iPhone was the most anticipated release since Star Wars, and when it came out with such a major flaw people went into a frenzy. With all the bells and whistles the phone had, everyone wondered why the basic function didnt work that well. After all, it is a phone.

No matter what the down sides of the iPhone are, people still love the modern marvel. It has set the standards in the cell phone industry and other companies are still trying to catch up and pass Apple. With a fix on the way, its sure to make another splash in the industry.
