Ashley Hickman from Universal Lending takes advantage of the free Metro Brokers CREC classes at the Budweiser Event Center.

Interviewer:  Hi this is Tom Guest with Metro Brokers at the Budweiser Event Center in Loveland at one of our free CREC Mandatory Classes taught by Tony Marietta.

Ashley Hickman:  My name is Ashley Hickman, I am actually a lender with Universal Lending and its great for me to come just to kind of educate myself on all the new things with the contract and things like that, I obviously have to deal with those everyday and then I come to just be supportive and to help Metro Brokers, to tell people, you know its not a scary market, its great out there and we are doing a lot of business.  

What are your thoughts about the class?
Ashley Hickman:  The class was absolutely fantastic, Tony did a great job, very funny, you know entertaining, I think that, you know four hours went by really-really, very fast.  so I think everybody got a lot out of it, everybody seemed to pass the test with flying colors at the end so obviously he did a great job.

The economy is still not where we want it to be, and its taking many industries with it. The real estate industry has been in trouble for a while now, and we are still seeing home price reductions, which is not a good sign for the real estate market. Home prices have dropped a massive 26 percent this year, which also happened last year when homeowners were more aggressive in selling their homes. These figures excludes bank owned homes, this only takes into account the pressure buyers are putting on sellers these days. This has made sellers become much more realistic about selling and the prices they are asking.
