Metro Brokers 2013 President, Ty Dokken speaks to us from the Annual Meeting about the strength of our marketing campaigns.

Interviewer:   Hi I am Kathy Soltero with Metro Brokers TV, today we are at the Metro Brokers Annual Meeting at the Wellshire Inn and we're talking to our current president of Metro Brokers, Ty Dokken.  Ty thank you so much for being here and talking with us today.

Ty Dokken:  Hi, how are you doing Kathy?

Interviewer:   Great.  Tell us about what you see as the future of Metro Brokers you are our new president; tell us where you see things are headed?

Ty Dokken:  I think things will change a little bit as does the real estate business, but with little changes, little integrations. We've got a new website platform, we've got a new online store and I think it will be a good year.

Interviewer:   I think Metro Brokers is such an exciting organization, we have our triathlon every year, we have some great events that really bring people in and find out who we are, how do you feel like our advertising is going to change or grow this year?

Ty Dokken:  Actually we just passed a dues increase so we have doubled our marketing exposure out there and we've opened up to a new digital online marketing campaign and then with the triathlon and events like that that really help the company build culture, it should be good.

Interviewer:   Looking forward to an exciting year aren't you?

Ty Dokken:  Yes, yes definitely.

Interviewer:   Alright, well congratulations and thank you so much I'm sure we'll be talking to you again some time.

Ty Dokken:  Okay, thank you so much.

Christie Martin, President of Metro Brokers Inc. talks to us from the 4th Annual, Metro Brokers TriathlON Friday event at the Cherry Creek State Park. The event grows every year with more participants and sponsors.

Interviewer:  Hi I'm Kathy Soltero with Metro Brokers TV.  Today we are at Cherry Creek Reservoir and we are talking with Christie Martin, Metro Brokers President.  Christie, it's a great evening for the triathlon.

Christie Martin:  Oh it's an awesome evening, we've got great weather and we've got great participants and it's going off without a glitch tonight, so...

Interviewer:  Absolutely.  Tell me about the participation this year, where are we at?

Christie Martin:  We are just shy of 300, so we are up considerably from last year so we are in our fourth year and it keeps growing every single year, it's great.

Interviewer:  Tell me about the triathlon, who does it benefit?

Christie Martin:  It benefits Adaptive Adventures, which is a great program, they help veterans, they help a lot of different people that have been in accidents, that have lost limbs and they help them adapt to, to do an everyday life again and being active.

Interviewer:  And we actually have some participants also in the triathlon right?

Christie Martin:  Yes we do, yeah there's quite a few people that are wheelchair bound, that type of thing, that it's just, I mean I'm just blown away by the way that they swim and do all the events, it's great.

Interviewer:  Where do you see this event going in the future?

Christie Martin:  I just think, you know every year its growing and I think we are going to just continue to get bigger and bigger and bigger.

Interviewer:  Awesome.  Well thank you very much, it was great talking to you and congratulations on another successful event.

Christie Martin:  Great, thank you Kathy.

Tom Guest, President of Metro Brokers speaks to us from the 3^rd Annual Metro Brokers Triathlon. The event drew over 200 participants who competed at the Cherry Creek Reservoir.

Interviewer:    Welcome to the 3rd Annual Metro Brokers Triathlon.  I am here today with Tom Guest.  Tom Guest is the President of Metro Brokers and Tom, what do you think of the event so far?

Tom Guest:  Oh, this is the most fantastic event I have ever been to.  This is so exciting.  We've got over two hundred people, biking, and running and in the water and it's just an excellent event from Metro Brokers.

Interviewer:  Yeah, it looks like the weather is a little more conducive today; it looks like we got a new record that came in.

Tom Guest:  It is, it is.  The swim was very good, because the water is nice and flat, less wind, so it was a good event, all around very good.

Interviewer:    So what's been the feedback so far from the people you've talked to, here at this event versus say running a golf tournament?

Tom Guest:  Oh, they love this event.  The participation is great; we are getting more activities and more activities out to the whole community, so it's very good.

Interviewer:    Excellent.  I noticed a few more handicapped participants this year too?

Tom Guest:   We did.  We had one that I actually helped into the water and I provided a chair for him so he could change his prosthetics.  And he came out of the water and now he's already gone to the biking and he's on the course right now, so I'm waiting to see how he does.

Interviewer:    Great.  Well, it's a great event Tom, and we appreciate everything you do for Metro Brokers too.

Tom Guest:  Thank you.  I love it.  Thanks for the event.

Interviewer:  Hi, I am Kathy Soltero with Metro Brokers TV.  Today in the studio, we have with us Tom Guest, he is with Key Masters Real Estate, and he is also our president of Metro Brokers, Inc.  Thank you so much for coming in, Tom.

Tom Guest:  You're welcome, Kathy. 

Interviewer:  You have been president since the beginning of January for 2011, and tell me how things are going so far? 

Tom Guest:  Things are going good.  You know it's been a real privilege and honor to be president of Metro Brokers.  We are an organization that elects their board of directors, we elect our president, so we are self run, we are self ruled, and it's been very enjoyable. 

Interviewer:  And you're still doing real estate at the same time.  So you've got a lot going on.

Tom Guest:  Yes. 

Interviewer:  What sort of activities are you involved in?

Tom Guest:  With Metro Brokers, I mean we do all of our planning, we have the triathlon coming up, I am involved with all kinds of activities that will span everything to build our business for Metro Brokers. 

Interviewer:  Real estate has been tough.  So, what are some of the challenges that we have been facing as in Metro Brokers?

Tom Guest:  Well one thing is our membership, membership numbers have been slipping last few years, but as it has in all organizations, the one thing we are trying to do is to build our membership to get our word out, to let everybody know how good we are as a membership organization, what we can offer them.

Interviewer:  Why should somebody join Metro Brokers?

Tom Guest:  One thing about Metro Brokers is we are unique in the business, compared to other companies.  We offer someone the entrepreneurship to where they can open up their own office; they can start as a broker associate, they can develop into a broker.  They can become an employing broker and they can become an office owner. 

Interviewer:  What are some of the other aspects of Metro Brokers that make it so enticing for people to join?

Tom Guest:  The things that make it enticing to join is that you can form your own business and you can have associates working for you.  So you can have your own business, this carries on with you forever, no one will take it away from you.  You can do your own business, you can be a loan officer, you can have loans, you can do property management, and you can do relocation.  So you form your own organization, you can do whatever you want within that organization and have your own agents working for you. 

Interviewer:  What are your hopes and aspirations for Metro Brokers while you are president?

Tom Guest:  Well a couple of things that we are looking at that are very important to us is to build our membership numbers.  So we want to build those back up into the 1500 range.  We want strong offices; offices are the key to our company and our success.  So increase the strength of the offices, improving communication, communication to the office owners, communication to each of our brokers from corporate. 

Interviewer:  We have great access on the web as well and websites for every individual involved in Metro Brokers, as well.

Tom Guest:  We do, we offer a free website, we also have metrobrokersonline.com and that is a complete website for the public to search for properties and offers all kind of opportunities for everyone to build our membership.

Interviewer:  Especially on the video aspects too, they can get interviewed and have a video presence as well. 

Tom Guest:  Yes.
