What makes the Eagles so special; also, a strong marketing force aligned with an iconic and strong Colorado presence makes this a dynamic partnership.
Kevin McGlue: I am Kevin McGlue the voice of the Colorado Eagles we are here at the beautiful Budweiser Event center in Loveland Colorado. To give you a better idea what the Colorado Eagles are all about no better man to do that than Eagles captain Riley Nelson and Riley when you think about a special place to play, what is it that makes the Eagles so special?
Riley Nelson: Well I think its the support that community gives us you know night in and night out Monday, Wednesday; Saturday it doesnt matter that here to cheer us on and expect to win.
Kevin McGlue: 267 consecutive sale outs here, thats a minor league record what is that the fans provide to you on the ice?
Riley Nelson: Well they, you know they give you that extra tracker and they know they can tell when we are down a little bit, they get on and they get up on the field and gives us a little push.
Kevin McGlue: Two championships, three governor's cups high expectations here how do you fulfill them each and every year?
Riley Nelson: Well you know you put the trust in the coaching staff to bring in competitive players that want to be here and want to win every year and so far we have done that and we are looking to do it again.
Kevin McGlue: That is Eagles captain Riley Nelson 500 points with the Colorado Eagles and that is a closer look at what makes Eagles so special both on and off the ice?
Doug Lindstrom: Northern Colorado needed this affiliation from Metro Brokers point of view just to be affiliated with something as strong and recognized as the Colorado Eagles, so that we can have more signs, for sales signs, more presence that the consumer will feel more comfortable in doing business with us.
Tom Guest: This is a strong marketing force in Northern Colorado and we feel by aligning ourselves with this. We have five to 6000 people coming to these games and seen our Metro Broker logo, seen Metro Broker exposure and these are potential log clients where each and every one of us not only that but they have a radio presence, they have a TV presence and this is a very strong message to Northern Colorado.
Ike Isenhart: We have not had the representation that we wanted and we feel that this is a very viable way to do that, partnering with Eagles and having such a presence up here in beautiful event center.
Kevin McGlue: Now joined by the President, General Manager and head coach of the Colorado Eagles Mr. Chris Stewart, coach you won CHL championships you have hung two of those banners here at the Budweiser event center, but what is it that makes this building this team, this community special?
Chris Stewart: Well I think it comes down at the clients that we have and thats people coming to the stand we have got greats fans here, lot of energy and you really cant beat the synergy we have in this building, its great place to be the home team.
Kevin McGlue: On and off the ice the expectations year in and year out is to win and to be winner put a winner both on the ice, in the stands and everything involved with this team, how do you try to make that happen?
Chris Stewart: Well I think that was established early Kevin we started off in our first year with that golden mind that you know we said automatically just because we are in our first year doesnt even won a championship you know it took us to our second year to win our first championship but thats really our goal every year, as we want to win a championship we have players that are capable of doing that and we put our effort forth every year with that mind that we want to win a championship.
Kevin McGlue: Give us a quick idea as to what this team at least in theory what you would like to see will look like at here night in and night out?
Chris Stewart: Well I am certainly been into speed and skill, I love that the speed on the ice, but I want to see that aggressiveness involved all we need a big top hockey club and a team is going to make the other team pay the price every single night. We are going to be in aggressive path, we are going to dictate the play, we are going to score a lot of goals.
Interviewer: Eagles president general manager and three times CHL champion head coach Chris Stewart.
