Some families facing imminent eviction from Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac will receive a reprieve for the holiday season. 

The suspension is for any occupied single family and 2-4 unit properties facing eviction lock-outs.  "Foreclosure attorneys will suspend the eviction to provide families a greater measure of certainty during the holidays," said Freddie Mac Senior Vice President Tracy Mooney.

"The holidays are meant for families to spend time together, especially if they've gone through the stress of financial challenges and foreclosure," said Fannie Mae Executive Vice President Terry Edwards. "No family should have to give up their home during this holiday season."
