Lack of independence drives Brian Richardson from Kentwood City Properties to Metro Brokers

MetroBrokersTV : Hi. I am Scott Shields and I am here with Brian Richardson with MetroBrokersTV.com. Brian is one of our newest members to join Metro Brokers. Brian, thanks for coming down today to talk with us.

Brian Richardson: My pleasure.

MetroBrokersTV : Tell us a little yourself, your history, how did you get you involved with real estate?

Brian Richardson: Well I came to Colorado about 10 years ago and I came with Hitachi, a leading manufacturer, and I was in the power tool division. I got tired of the corporate world, decided I wanted to be more of an entrepreneur and I was at the time buying properties, three- plexes and four- plexes around the Metro Area and thought real estate would be a great opportunity. I started off with Keller Williams and I was there for about a year, then kind of moved on naturally as a progression, so I ended up going over to Kentwood City Properties [phonetic] with about a year-and-a-half after getting into real estate and was downtown with them for a while. 

MetroBrokersTV : Then what... what drew you to Metro Brokers?

Brian Richardson: Well, I have always wanted to be my own company, be my own managing broker, and doing my due diligence, looking around at all the other companies, the only company that had assistance and the kind of focus around what I wanted to do is Metro Brokers.

MetroBrokersTV : And are you happy now that you came over to Metro Brokers. Are you reaching your goals that you have been wanting to accomplish?

Brian Richardson: Yeah 100%. I mean it gives me the opportunity to work with other managing brokers who have more experience as being managing brokers than I did or have now. I have had great success as far as recruiting new people. I have brought in nine new broker associates, all with at least 2 or 3 years experience. So, they are coming over and with the other brokers that I have in the office, we can... they help us as far as focus on different parts of the business from commercial, residential, leasing, purchases.

MetroBrokersTV : So, Metro Brokers is allowing you to... to accomplish your goals. Is there anything that is attributing... something specific about what you do, to be able to grow your business because you said you had nine people that came over to work with you, now you are growing.

Brian Richardson: Right. Well, I...

MetroBrokersTV : What is the key to your success?

Brian Richardson: Key to my success is... naturally, our focus is downtown, so, Metro Brokers has a really good office downtown Denver at 1499 Blake St, Denver , Colorado 80202. Gives us walk in opportunities, it gives us professionalism. We get the marketing that Metro Brokers does on TV and other different medias. It is well known, so, it has been able to bring people and give us credibility.
