Bill Rozich, founder of Amber Alert for Pets tells us about a new association called the Pet-Friendly Realtor Group.

This group of 10,000 member Realtors have given memberships to homebuyers with pets at closing.  The Amber Alert for Pets program is a gift to the new homeowner in case their pet, who isn't familiar with their new surroundings, wanders off.

The Realtor Members get the alert and help to look for the missing pet in their neighborhoods.

Amber Alert for Pets is offering a special rate for Metro Brokers of $9.95 for a lifetime membership.  The usual cost is $9.95 a year.

Interviewer:  So tell us about your company?

Bill Rozich:  Well we, we just started Pet Friendly Realtors Group, a division of Amber Alerts For Pets.  Pet Friendly Realtor Group is an association of realtors who give a membership as a house warming gift to the home buyers who own pets.  They give an amber alerts for pets membership.  The membership protects the pet in the new home while it adjusts to its surroundings so in the event that it would get lost one of our ten thousand members on the Front Range would find it.  We send out an alert, and they go out and look for it in their neighborhoods.

Interviewer:  And what is, I know you got some special rates for Metro Brokers to sign up?

Bill Rozich:  We sure do.  Metro Broker Realtors can sign up for $ 9.95 for a lifetime.  Everybody else pays 9.95 a year.  Its not much money but it's a very powerful tool.  Pets are no longer just pets, they are members of the family, and if a pet is lost it's a tragedy.

Interviewer:  Yes.

Bill Rozich:  So that's how our program work we send out our alerts.  Realtors who give this as a house warming gift find themselves in the heart and off top of mind.  Top of mind is fine but if you are in the owner's heart, the new home owner you are really in a powerful position to extend that relationship.
